Halloween Girls

Here are the Farm Girls. Em went as a farmer with her little kitty Elena. If you have seen the pictures or talked to anyone you know that we are looking to switch jobs here pretty soon.
On Friday the 7th we are hopefully closing on our first house. We will be moving to Virginia Beach to help start a Specialized Foster Parent program here in Virginia. We will be taken in 2 or 3 youth that have been removed from or exhibit behavior that will not allow them to enter regular foster homes. These youth will be forced into group homes or lock down facilities. We are hoping to help this program grow and give youth the opportunity to live ‘normal’ family style lives instead of living in groups with youth who do not wish to change or lack the ability to make independent choices. There will always be the need for group homes and lock down facilities, but not all youth need those placements and we hope to be a place to help deter these kids from having to go down that road.
Please pray for the closing on Friday. That things go smoothly and that we can make the transition from this job to the next. We plan to move into the house on Friday and spend a few days cleaning and getting things setup, then it’s back to Richmond for our last week with our boys. After that we have home studies and meetings to see who will be moving in with us and getting them in a settled. Should be an interesting month.
